Dycem
As clinicians, we know that setting up the therapeutic environment is almost as important as our actual therapy. Our newest featured therapeutic product is Dycem--a non-slip, sticky surface which prevents your clients from slipping and sliding on their chairs, thus helping them to attend better. It can be cut to any size and it is malleable so it can be fitted around various objects..if needed. Dycem also solves many of the stabilization and gripping problems encountered by children with limited dexterity, restricted mobility and reduced wrist or upper limb strength. We recommend cutting out a square to fit on the seat of all of the chairs you use for therapy, and watch, in amazement how the level of distractibility in your clients decreases!
